What is infltr?
infltr is a new type of photo App that lets you add a filter before or after you take a picture. infltr is short for infinite filters. Touch the screen and see the filter change instantly. Keep panning for more filters. When you find one you like, just tap to capture and you’re done. It really is that simple.
How did the idea come about?
We all love filters. They make life better. Although most Apps just use the same old preset filters. That’s why most of the two billion photos shared everyday use just a handful of filters - or none at all. We want to make it easier to add filters and at the same time help make people’s pictures better. We want every picture to be unique.
Can I capture Live Photos using infltr?
Yes, on the iPhone 6S, 6S+, 7 and 7+ running at least iOS 10. To enable Live Photo capture, touch the Live Photo icon at the top of the camera screen.
Can I filter Live Photos using infltr?
Yes, infltr is one of the only apps that allows you to filter your Live Photos without loosing the crucial live video component. Watch the video to learn more about it:
How does Adobe's Creative Cloud integrate with infltr?
You can connect your Adobe Creative Cloud account to infltr and start filtering the images you store on Creative Cloud and Lightroom. You can also save your creation directly on the cloud as well as opening your work from infltr directly into Photoshop or Illustrator on your desktop. More in the video:
Is it really infinite?
Yes. There are over seven million individual filters to discover and yes, they keep looping... infinitely
Why should I bother filtering my pictures?
Researchers at Yahoo Labs studied 7.6 million photos and found that "filtered photos are 21% more likely to be viewed and 45% more likely to be commented on" than unfiltered photos. That should answer your question!
Can I filter images saved in my phone?
Find the photo that you want to filter in infltr's camera roll. Then, simply start editing by touching the edit button located on the lower right corner of the screen. You can also start filtering directly from iOS' Photos App by using our Photo Editing Extension.
What else can I filter?
You can filter: Photos, Live Photos and Videos!
Why should I login with Facebook or Twitter?
Logging in with Facebook or Twitter means you get access to special features - like your very own #infltr score.
Can I link my Instagram account to my infltr profile?
You should! We will feature your Instagram shots in the leaderboard. It is a great way to gain more followers and likes. Go to the "Edit Profile" screen to add your Instagram username.
How do I adjust the focus for the picture?
On the rear-facing camera, just tap the screen once in the area you want to focus on and the camera will adjust.
Meta-data screen?
When you are looking at a photo inside infltr's camera roll, touch the + button. In the menu, select the information button to show the meta-data stored in the photo. It works for Photos, Live Photos, Videos as well as Creative Cloud, Lightroom & Dropbox Photos.
Is it possible to hide or re-order the sharing options?
Yes, go to "Toolkit Order" from the Settings screen.
Posting on Tumblr
If you like moving images, you should try posting a Live Photos from inside infltr to Tumblr. It will convert the video part into an animated GIF! Way more fun than a static shot.
Can I disable the sound and haptic feedback?
Yes. You'll find that option in the Settings screen.
Is it possible to zoom?
Yes. On the rear-facing camera, pinch the screen with two fingers to zoom in and out.
Is it possible to always launch infltr in camera mode?
Go to the settings page inside the app and turn on the "Launch Camera by Default" option.
